Why Kloud51 provides free hosting or really aggressive discounts that make no sense ? How even Kloud51 makes money to pay for the expenses of the business?
Even though we have responded to those questions many times or at least we tried to. Still, it needs to be repeated. (we like to repeat, what's wrong with that?)
We make money, we make enough to keep up the business running and pay for our staff, our support staff. We're not big, we don't own lots of money in Kloud51 bank account, but we have enough and in most cases more than enough to play it safe and sometimes aggressive.
Is there a money in providing Free hosting ? Of course, if there wasn't any we wouldn't be here, it has been almost ~2 years since we started. Please keep in mind, only one of our products/plans is free, the rest of them are all paid plans. Each of them has been designed for different usage and budget.
Our shared hosting environment is a security-hardened instance that comes with ridiculously great features and freedom, an unlimited number of everything, well except the storage which no one can provide that in unlimited so we don't promise such thing.
You should never think just because our services are free or inexpensive then they're cheap or low quality, they're not, that's why we have FREE account, you can try it, see how it works, develop your website, host your emails and files and play with it as long as you wish and whenever you feel like growing then you can upgrade to a paid plan and discover more performance and awesomeness.
So why we still providing Free? because we love it, we love free stuff, we enjoy them, we like to give something to other people as well, to enjoy it like us.
It's part of our branding too, we don't spend lots of money on Google Advertising or Facebook ads or Email stuff, no. Simply we just wanna grow in our own way by building a pretty welcoming community and customer base.
Providing Free and inexpensive services is a really good marketing strategy that has a great return. We always keep in mind, while providing free, keep the quality at its top too.
